Egyptian HOOPOE or HUD HUD Bird

Whilst in Egypt I continually see the Egyptian HUD HUD bird. I knew it meant something and needed to tune in to why and what is the message.

Egyptians believed it could see beneath the earth and bring secrets, linking it to hidden knowledge and kings. In ancient times, the hoopoe was a solar symbol associated with royalty and wisdom. Spotting a hoopoe is still considered a good omen in parts of Egypt, signifying wisdom and good news.

Seeing a Hoopoe bird at the pyramids, calm and unafraid, carries a very potent spiritual message, especially in such a sacred, ancient place. The Hoopoe is a messenger between worlds. In many mystical traditions (including Middle Eastern, Egyptian-adjacent lore, and Sufi symbolism), the Hoopoe is known as a divine courier — one who carries wisdom from the unseen realms into the human world. Its presence says “You are being spoken to. Pay attention.”

This is the message I received ….

The fact that it sat there calmly, not frightened of me was mutual recognition. Spirit recognised spirit. This happened as

I aligned with your soul path

I am walking with a clear heart

I am being witnessed and affirmed by the unseen

It wasn’t startled because you were not a threat — you were a receiver.

At the pyramids, its message deepens:

The pyramids are guardians of ancient knowledge, initiation, and remembrance. The Hoopoe appearing there symbolises:

  • remembering who you truly are
  • the reopening of ancient wisdom stored within you
  • a gentle initiation, not a dramatic one — soft, loving, precise

This is not about seeking outside answers now. It says: “You already carry what you are asking for.”

The Hoopoe’s crown (its crest) is also important. Spiritually it represents:

  • divine intelligence
  • humility crowned with wisdom
  • truth that bows rather than dominates

So the message is not loud or forceful. It whispers: “Lead with love, not urgency.” What it wants us to know collectively:

  • Healing does not come through fear or force
  • The world is listening for heart-led truth
  • Those who walk gently can carry great light

It was a blessing that arrived quietly, because your heart was open enough to notice. In Egyptian symbolic language, the Hoopoe represents “the one who knows the way” just like you. At the pyramids, this becomes a direct message “What you seek is hidden in plain sight — within you.

Each time I saw it I received the messages for me:

  • you were in right alignment
  • your heart was light
  • your offering was in harmony with cosmic order
  • teach the ancestral wisdom
  • assist others with their past-life remembrance
  • let go of soul contracts made long ago

At my favorite temple Dendeerra, I received this message which brought tears of gratitude.

    Falcons appear for kings.

    Ibis for scribes.

The Hoopoe appears for those who serve love.

You do not need to prove your worth. You are already known.

The heart is light. The path is open. Proceed gently.

You were seen — by the land, the ancestors, and the unseen keepers of wisdom.

Thank you to this divine Bird.

        Absolute love
